Background and education
Elisa Callebaut graduated magna cum laude with a Law Degree in 2010 (specialisation in the field of social and economic rights).
In 2014, Elisa was sworn in as a lawyer at the Ghent Bar Association and in July 2017 she joined Everest Law. Prior to that, she completed a traineeship with the lawyer’s office van Eeckhoutte, Taquet & Clesse, where she specialised in social law.
As of 2010, Elisa has been teaching law courses at Hogeschool Ghent such as labour law, social security law and general introduction to law. This has allowed her to acquire in-depth knowledge of social law (among other things) and to stay informed about the most recent changes in legislation. Because of her experience, she is also able to explain complex legal issues in a transparent and comprehensible manner.
At Everest law, Elisa is part of the Social law department. She assists clients with respect to different aspects of labour law (recruitment, dismissal, international employment, etc..) and social security law (false self-employment, work-related accidents, criminal labour law, etc..). Furthemore, she represents clients in legal proceedings (both individual and collective disputes).
