Background and education
Catherine holds the following degrees:
- 1997: Law degree (cum laude) from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB);
- 1998: LL.M. in Public International Law from the University of London;
- 2005-2006: Postgraduate course in European Affairs from the Institute of European Studies of the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL).
Catherine specialises in administrative law, environmental law and town and country planning (in the 3 regions).
Catherine is a member of the Brussels bar since 1998.
She became a partner at Everest Brussels on 1 June 2018. Prior to joining Everest Brussels, Catherine worked in several prestigious international corporate law firms (Linklaters, NautaDutilh and Liedekerke). Between 2004 and 2006, Catherine worked as a legal expert at the cabinet of the Environmental Minister of the Government of the Brussels-Capital region.
Catherine handles advisory work, transactions and litigation matters for private clients and public authorities. Catherine also has extensive experience in drafting legislation.
She regularly speaks and writes about these subjects.
Catherine is recognised by the Brussels bar as a specialist in administrative and environmental law.
She is listed as an environmental law specialist in prestigious international legal directories for many years (e.g. « WhosWhoLegal »).
